Great people... Very helpful and friendly. They always get me together no matter what my needs are. I can take a piece of plumbing hardware in there.... No clue what it is or how to fix it. They tell me everything I need to know, find my parts it whatever it is and give me a price I can't beat at any local hardware. Girards has been around forever. My mom tells me how she remembers her dad going there for stuff around the house when she was a child. That was many years ago. I always stop at girards first when I'm in search of anything home or hardware related... Whether it be a light switch, a faucet set, a screwdriver, a box of nails, paint, propane, even parts for my mower and my kids 4 wheeler sometimes, depending on what it needs. Girards hardware is a long time staple in the beechmont community.

I live nearby, and it’s great to have a hardware store close to me. These people are fantastic! Super helpful, super friendly, and full of experience to share, too. I’m super thankful for Girard hardware!

I love local hardware. So much better than big box places. Need one of something random. They got it. Bend a mower blade once a month. They got it. Girard's has never let me down. Thanks guys.

Update:04-19-2023 Very grateful to have this hardware store here! Very nice people, cheaper that other place on Southside, heck, they have good products, not knock off DoWhatever, junk brand. I've been shopping local (brick and mortar) more lately, and it has been saving me a ton. Plus you get your needed items faster and with a good ole' fashion smile. No hours of weeding through broken search engines. I can't express how grateful I am to still have a local store to walk in to. Very nice ppl. Find what I am looking for almost every time.

A great hardware store. The people working are always fairly knowledgeable enough to be able to ask their advice on something you may be working on. And they always know where to find everything which is nice because they have such a huge selection of stuff in this store that it can be difficult to find little things on your own. Everyone who works there are super nice too.

It's such a friendly environment, with gentlemen sitting up front, being helpful, having a great time while at work. No matter what I need to get, they dont try to UP-sell—only find specifically what I need. Honest, and they saved me quite a bit of money. These are the small businesses that we must keep in business.

Okay its review time for my favorite hardware store in town. This little store and all of them helpful employees in this great hardware store. They deal with the strangest people. I'm talking about me. I keep buying nuts and bolts and hoses. For my project. As a startup field technician. Computer Guys can benefit from the kindness and all of the goodies I used in my Beautiful Machine. Project Omega. Thanks a Ton Girard's Hardware Store You Guys are Exclusive to Louisville.

It is great to have a fairly well-stocked hardware in the neighborhood. The new owner is a little grumpy, but I'm thankful she's keeping it open.
